A New Day Will Come

If you’ve gone away,
maybe it’s time
to come back.

And if you’re on your way,
maybe you can turn around
and find the path home.

The answer is never far.
It’s often so close
we must go inside to find it.

What the soul knows
the body soon finds out.

Bob Dylan warned us about men
with broken teeth,
burned out from exhaustion –
stranded without love.

Who’s holding you hostage?

There is life in death.
There is always another option.

There is possibility
waiting for you in the silence,
and rooted in your stillness.

A new day will come.
