Transcendence

The do nothing,
say nothing,
be nothing – nothingness,
                  is something
that once found me,
and I have been yearning for
ever since.

Being is a gift
                  so profound, yet
so unsure of itself.

Humans must be God’s idea
for contemplative life,
giving us the task of naming
Awe and Wonder.

The real Big Bang,
or what I would call:
the peanut butter and chocolate moment,
came the moment Being
married Consciousness.

The cosmic offspring of this holy union
is Becoming,
                  followed by Love,
Doubt and Creativity.

Oddly,
these amazing gifts are
most accessible through stillness,
when we do little or nothing,
                  say little or nothing,
and seek only to become present.
