Trust Stillness (Journey into Midlife)

Always somewhere to go –
young
places to see
drink them in
midnight energy
let’s escape
who cares where
all dreams make sense
no road too hard
no sleep too precious
don’t fence me in

Maybe not
been there, done that
burned out – busted
too much of too much
everything, everything
tastes the same
smells the same
looks the same
sounds the same
why don’t I feel the same

Drop anchor
try gardening
plant herbs
mend and paint the fence
get a library card
practice daily meditation
trust stillness
