Leave it

Let it be
                 let it be
                                  let it be

Allow the last word
to remain unsaid

No goodbye
                 no kiss or curse

Swallow
                 the bile and blood

It all ends like a hurricane
                 when it blows itself out

A candle flickering –
the flame shrinking
                 darkness
                                  peace
                                                   stillness

The eye can’t see
can’t send indictments
to the judge in your head

Absorb the quiet
in your soul’s satisfaction

This is not a game
                 no winners
                                  no losers

In the end a choice
                 a point of light
                                  a new beginning
