Space In-Between

Many believe there’s nothing
in the space in-between.
Yet perhaps it is there
                  we may find everything.

From where appears
                  a joke,
                  an invitation,
                  a smile,
                  or warm handshake,
all leading to a hug?

Pull on that thread.
Close the distance
                  between the familiar patterns
you call your life,
                  and the fabric of eternity.

Don’t live your life
hiding in a seam.

Allow yourself to be zipped
and fastened to what you once labeled
other.

Even your breath
is a way to get closer
to everything and everyone else
also longing with this desire.

Deep breath in.
                  Deep breath out.
We become one.
